Defeat the Devil – Stop Over Thinking!

Over thinking can be described as ‘sending the brain on a hyperactive overdrive for no particular reason or outcome.’  In order to have a smooth functioning in life, we need to keep our hearts calm. Studies have proved that our observation and understanding skills are highest when we have a proper heartbeat. And with a calm heart, our brain focuses better over an issue.

Motivationally speaking, when we start over thinking, our heart and brain starts to function in a hyperactive state and ends up messing even those things, which are the easiest for us otherwise. Over thinking distracts us from better opportunities because we are busy focusing on the worst scenarios. Thus we need to defeat the demon of over thinking.

You may ask how?  Here are the three ways shown by the keynote speaker ‘Sriram Athri’ to overcome the habit of over thinking
1. Meditation
‘Meditation is the answer to everything’ thus the first and foremost technique to stop over thinking is meditation.  It is indeed true that the answer to your worries do not lie in the noise but lie in silence.
By meditation it doesn’t mean that you leave all your work and climb a mountain peak to meditate, it just means you take out sometime of your day (30 minutes at least) and indulge in complete nothingness of mind. Just like your physic needs exercise, same way your brain needs exercise too and meditation is the best exercise for your mind.
2. Teach your mind the art of patience
Patience is most important factor for anything in life. You need to teach your mind the art of patience, rather than jumping on to the conclusions.  It needs to be trained to stop unnecessarily running over things and leading you to a completely wrong direction.  When your mind is impatient, it worries about things (like your future, spouse, children and other things) but as life is unpredicted, over thinking just won’t help! Thus being patient is the solution to many mental problems
3. Develop Hobbies
As it is said, empty mind is the devil’s workshop! So instead of keeping  your mind idle, it is recommended that you develop a hobby and keep it occupied.
A hobby is anything that takes you away from your worries and pressures giving you a sense of relief and happiness. Hobbies are something that leaves us with positive energy. Different people have different hobbies based on their interests like swimming, dancing, travelling, painting etc
But remember, hobbies do not include drinking, smoking, sleeping, watching television etc. Because all these will not help in the enhancement of your mood but end up making you feel more worthless about yourself.
When you have a useful hobby, it keeps you busy making your mind involved in productivity and leaving less time or probably no time for over thinking. And sometimes it is through our hobbies that we learn great things and move forward in future.
So do practice these three important techniques and live a healthy life. To conclude, the motivational speaker says ‘Over thinking is a devil, defeat it before it defeats you!’

Idleness makes you Unhappy – not Happy!

I am sure you must have surely heard ‘Empty mind, Devil’s workshop’ This is not just a quote but a very fact of life! Says the Top Motivational Speaker ,  Sriram Athri.    A human brain is the trickiest organ to understand. It has its own ways of functioning. A normal misconception of people is, ‘Doing nothing is the best job.’ People generally hold this perspective and believe that going to work is the worst baggage they have to carry and their life will be amazing if they’ll have nothing to do. top motivational speaker   But things work otherwise! Generally, when you are busy in life, you have less time to think over unnecessary things like other people’s lives, judgments, comparisons & gossips and thus you attract less negativity around you. But when you have more time, things work vice versa, instead of using your time on positive things, your mind keeps wandering around useless things and you end up attracting negativity. Why does this happen?
